We invite you for a barter: we give you a portrait of the jewel you are wearing and you tell us a jewelry-story. Come adorned! The performance by Camilla Prey and Anna Rukavitsyna is for people and about people; their relationship to and through jewelry. People are invited to tell us a jewelry related story while we will portrait them. We will draw only the jewels, not the wearer. After the performances we will make a fanzine with the collected material.

Going abroad with Erasmus+ - Vocational stays abroad in the Craft Sector The EU-programme Erasmus+ supports learning periods abroad for young people and adults working in the skilled crafts sector. Support is provided for example for traineeships or for participation in skills competitions. Eligible participants include learners and apprentices currently enrolled in initial vocational education and training (iVET) and in continuing vocational education and training (cVET) as wells as recent graduates within 1 year of graduation.

HAWK Hildesheim Metal design and Jewellery
First presentation of the brochure in the reflexive practice on "Jewelry and Body-Related Object". The brochure provides insights into the work, positions and thoughts of students and graduates of the Department of Jewellery and Body-Related Object. The results of 24 students from various semester projects and final theses from the years 2020–2022 are collected. The brochure shows how jewellery and body-related objects can be thought of and how an expanded idea of jewellery can be formulated both theoretically and practically.

Perspective for creative people – Presentation of the training program of the Staatliche Berufsfachschule für Glas- und Schmuck The aim of our school is to provide a modern and future-oriented education. The training ends after 3 years with the final examination to become a state-certified goldsmith, silversmith, engraver or glass/porcelain painter, which is equivalent to the journeyman's examination in the trade. All practical skills are taught exclusively in the school's own workshops.

JEWELLERY to SUPPORT, by Paul Derrez
Presentation of Rainbow Chains, Ukraine Chain and Spoon for Food, support-projects by Paul Derrez. Paul Derrez presents these three support projects: Rainbow Chains is a project that supports rights of people from the LGBTQI+ community. The three different types are produced with the laser cutter and hand finished, in an edition of 20 each. It includes the Pride Power catalogue. Ukraine Chain collects for food, shelter and medical care in Ukraine. The Ukraine Chain was produced in an edition of 100, made of lasercut parts. Spoon for Food advocates for food and basic supplies worldwide. An edition of 25 was made of this small silver spoon that can be used as a spoon, pendant or clip.

The Society for the Art of Goldsmithing in the German Goldsmiths' House Hanau introduces itself. The Association for Goldsmiths' Art supports artists by organizing competitions, issuing publications, and granting awards. It is responsible for the program of the Goldsmiths' House, which provides a platform for the jewelry and hollowware scene with its constantly changing exhibitions. In addition, it offers accompanying activities, such as guided tours, lectures, and goldsmith workshops for children.

Working in a collective - tragbar
The four of us and our workshop and gallery concept - Die tragbar in conversation Since 2003, a unique concept in the field of goldsmithing has proven itself in Munich's Schlachthofviertel. In the rooms of a former grocery store you will find the lovingly restored "tragbar - Werkstatt & Galerie für Schmuck". The tragbar's operators, Sarah Cossham, Anne Gericke, Barbara Decker and Pura Ferreiro, display wonderfully creative and individual contemporary jewelry. In a relaxed conversation, the four talk about their experiences with the long-standing store community and how they have managed to remain a strong team despite ups and downs.

Meet and greet with the artists - The Bavarian Arts and Crafts Association presents its two current exhibitions. Archaeoptermix: The geologist Hermann Borchert brought back antique finds from his travels in Turkey, including several forgeries. After his death, the collection came into the hands of the master goldsmith Adelheid Helm, who initiated a joint project with artisan friends in which everyone could think of something to say about individual pieces. Gabi Veit, ControVersia: The Bolzano jewellery artist Gabi Veit borrows her forms from nature. Every idea is preceded by curiosity and research. At a certain point, however, things form themselves. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for a joint visit to the exhibition.

PANCAKEJEWELS
An Eat Art-Jewelleryaction by René Martin René Martin's Eat Art-action "Pancakejewels" creates temporarily wearable jewellery made from vegan pancake batter. Custom-made pieces of jewellery are created live and in interaction with the audience. Acting guests receive the pancake jewels in exchange for a photograph on which they wear their unique piece. The portraits preserve the pancake jewels and document the wearers involved in the action. Documentary photos thus become appealing portraits of the moment.

SMCK ON REEL 2023 // Civilization Rebooted
In a three-part video program, SMCK ON REEL shows what the future of jewelry and crafts might look like. Videos made by international jewelry designers and artists focus on environmental catastrophe, war, fear, death, new values and new aesthetics; a Ukrainian filmmaker captures his homeland's artists and crafters’ determination to keep creating despite the war; and a "coaching" video features professionals and VIPs from the creative sector, analyzing major contemporary jewelry challenges with frankness, insight and precision.
